Spotlight on Brian Gray

Brian Gray has been a cornerstone of the Paradise community, especially during challenging times. As a Past Paradise Rotary President, Brian led during the tumultuous year of the Camp Fire—a role demanding extraordinary resilience and leadership. His ability to rise to this challenge led to his unanimous re-election for a second term. (A very rare event in Rotary and a first time for the Paradise Rotary Club) Today, he continues his commitment to Rotary, serving as the Rotary Foundation Chair.
Brian is also the current President of the Gold Nugget Museum, where he is steering its mission forward. Once again leading an organization through difficult times as the museum rebuilds after the loss of all of its asets.
Brian is also a successful entrepreneur, having founded Gray Matter Computing in 1988, a business that adapted and thrived through decades of rapid technological change.
On the personal side, Brian lives in Paradise with his wife, Pam, who owns and operates Rose Funeral Home—a long-standing family business. Notably, Pam is also a Past Paradise Rotary President, underscoring their shared dedication to community service.
Because of the wide ranging extent of Brian’s service and commitment we were compelled to divide our interview of Brian into two podcast sessions.
