From My Point of View
PARADISE OPEN HOUSE WEEKEND
By Sandy Miller
Hi Friends,
Sandy again! In my last entry about the Chocolate Fest, I mentioned that Paradise is having an open house. June 1st & 2nd. What this means is, we are putting out the welcome mat for all to see what a truly beautiful and progressive town we have become and why people might want to build and move here.
Big thanks to our Chamber of Commerce, under the gentle care of Monica Nolan and Mark Thorp and many, many other involved Chamber Members and volunteers. A new website has been created for the chamber. welcometotheridge.com. I encourage you to visit it. Take the time and really check out all the different tabs that will send you to links of interest. If I didn’t already live here, I would totally live here!!!
~Just some of the details of the weekend are a pre~party in the park celebration on Sat. June 1st. From 5:30 to 8:30. (Regular ones start on Wed, June 12th) The band will be Special Guest. This is going to be a good night for sure! And it’s FREE!
~The Butte County Fire Safe Council’s 3rd annual Paradise Grazing Festival will be taking place on Sunday June 2nd at the Terry Ashe Recreation Center,
6626 Skyway, from 10 to 4. Oh and it’s FREE!
~ The Paradise Garden Club will be having their Garden Tour with 7 homes to visit this year. In collaboration with the Paradise Symphony Orchestra, and the Paradise Arts Center, it provides a great opportunity to feature all of these three organizations and a chance to see the beauty of the landscape, hear some music and watch an artist. Tickets/Tour Book can be purchased for $20 at the Garden Club Hub in the Cobblestone parking lot at 6569 Clark Rd. by the Butte County Firesafe Council.
~ School campuses will be open, our parks and lakes will have activities, some businesses will have special discounts, giveaways and promotions and plenty more.
If you live here and don’t know much about your own town, now is the time to explore. Please like and share this post with many and remember to check out the Chamber web page.
How fortunate we are to live in such a wonderful place. No wonder we want to show it off!
