Donn Thompson exemplifies dedication and community spirit through his long-standing involvement with the local Rotary club. As a past president and current member, Donn plays a vital role in the club’s operations. He writes the club newsletter, proudly calling himself the “club scribe,” and serves as the club photographer, capturing the moments that define their community service. His commitment to the Rotary club is just one aspect of his multifaceted life.

Donn’s entrepreneurial spirit shines through his successful venture in the facilities rental business, which he built from the ground up. With no advertising, relying solely on word-of-mouth, he managed to keep his rental facility fully booked—a testament to his reputation and business acumen. Beyond his professional achievements, Donn has been a square dance caller for 60 years, sharing his passion for dance with countless others. Recently, he has begun contributing to Star Bright Community Stories, particularly the Spotlight series, which celebrates ordinary people making extraordinary contributions to their communities. Donn is not only a supporter of this series but also a prime example of the very individuals it aims to highlight.
